Welcome World !

You think I am mesmerised by you,
You think I am merely a speck of dust,
Have you watched dawns and dusks unfolding through my eyes?
Have you nonchalantly loitered through my world?

Wonder

These eyes that are as radiant as gemstones,
Trip through forests of yellow leaves and intertwined creepers,
They flutter like pale-winged moths over fragile moments,
As stolid years add mists of knowledge over the truant irises.

Woman

Living in shackles, loving beyond promises,
I have existed in bits and pieces...in fragments,
Now in the autumn years of my life I taste freedom,
As the smile carved on my visage illuminates
The rusty hinges of the bolted door of your heart.

Naked ?

You call me naked as I sit over here on the soft cushion of my faeces,
Golden dung flowing through fissures of brown Earth,
I watch it leisurely and smile at your ignorance,
As you fail to see sunshine flowing through the crevices of my sienna body.

Lost Summer Years

Saffron corridors basking in the glory of lost summer years,
Shimmer in front of my eyes now rheumy with age.
I lie on this rickety couch of stale memories and crushed mothballs,
As your camera winks lasviciously at my broken body.

Wild Gazelle

Run through prairies dotted with sunshine,
Your liquid eyes holding scarred clouds in their depths,
The swiftness of your olive limbs punctuating Bedouin roads
Is enough to make me forget my frozen existence...

Different Worlds

I know that I belong to the green earth,
And he gallops over roads made of steel,
Yet, this symbiotic pull of heart strings,
Leaves us enfolded in shared silence...

Salute

Emblazoned through years of sanguine existence,
Is the feeling that I belong somewhere else,
Yet, when evenings sigh into the indigo night,
I know that this earth, this wind, this water is mine...

Coquettish Little Woman

The smile holds a hint of cultured sneer,
Waspishly maneuvering the ambience
As both fortune and volition crumble to dust
Beneath her tiny and tender feet...

Content

There is a strange glimmer in my eyes,
The world seems to be encased in a sea shell,
There are times when my ambition paints the sky florid,
There are times when I brazenly walk over destiny...

Wide-Eyed Wonder

Colours splashed across the canvas of parallel dimensions,
Forms and shapes caressing these delicate senses,
I have sprung up from beneath the somnolence that you call Death,
I am Life in her most wondrous incarnation...

Mature Moments

Beneath the lush green foliage of youth,
Your silvered years blossom like water lily,
There is an unending peace that stretches its white arms
Across the firmament of every tiny mature moment...

Mysterious Lady

If Time could fathom the depths of your irises,
Then evolution would have been a mere sundown tango,
The mist that serenades the tips of your lashes
Is the weapon that pierces through my gypsy heart...

Innocence

We smile through the pall of darkness,
Tiny slivers of bright white light,
Captivating the denouement that is a brazen truth
At the end of this labyrinth that we call struggle...

The Sentinel

Observing the roulette called Life,
My eyes refuse to tear away from the horizon,
They think I am merely a wanderer,
But I am the sentinel who watches the distant storms...

Education?

You speak words that reveal the emptiness,
Of this transient and pock-marked existence,
And then in the midst of your drab monologue
You expect me to fill in the gaping abyss?

Golden Girl

A sun-kissed smile enmeshed with butterfly freedom,
You wade through the shallow streams of life's empty promises,
I look into your liquid eyes and sigh a million times
As you and your golden laughter paint the skies tangerine...
